P!nk is the stage name of Alecia Beth Moore, a singer and songwriter born in 1979 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. One of the most consistently successful and critically underrated pop-rock artists of the 21st century, she built a career on a combustible combination of powerful vocals, acrobatic live performance, emotional directness, and a populist but genuinely felt feminism that has sustained her commercial relevance across more than two decades. Having sung in Philadelphia nightclubs as a teenager and been briefly a member of R&B group Choice, she was signed to LaFace Records and released debut album *Can't Take Me Home* (2000), which produced R&B hits 'There You Go' and 'Most Girls.'
