Born Julius Frank Anthony Kuczynski February 18, 1914, in Abrams, Wisconsin to family of Polish extraction. Adopted the name Frank King when he started his own band in Milwaukee, 1933. Moved to Louisville, Kentucky in 1934.
In groups The Log Cabin Boys, The Golden West Cowboys. Gene Autry later nicknamed him Pee Wee.

King passed away in Louisville, March 7, 2000, after suffering a heart attack.
