Nicole Safft (often misspelled "Saft" which is German for "juice") was born on November 19th, 1975 in Lünen, Germany. She met her producer and later husband, Alex Christensen, in Mallorca. With the debut single "Dear Jessie," Rollergirl opened the first Love Parade in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK. At first Nicci didn't want to go on stage. This is why the first version of the video to "Dear Jessie" shows Julie Pecquet as Rollergirl. The pseudonym "Rollergirl" was taken from Heather Graham's role as as naive young porn starlet in the movie Boogie Nights.
