    SWR-Rundfunk-Orchester Kaiserslautern

    German radio orchestra affiliated to the public broadcaster Südwestrundfunk, founded in 1951 as Rundfunkorchester Des Südwestfunks. When the Südwestfunk changed into the Südwestrundfunk in 1998, also the orchestra was renamed to SWR-Rundfunk-Orchester Kaiserslautern. In September 2007 the orchestra was merged with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Saarbrücken to form the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern.
