Danish band, formed spring 1963 as Teddy & The Caravans in Copenhagen. Shortened their name to The Caravans in 1964 and changed their style from pure rock'n'roll to beat. Debut single Can I Get A Witness / Everything Is All Right was recorded 16 June 1965 in Bispebjerg Bio with lineup consisting of vocalist Per Nøhr, organist Niels Ulrik Meyer-Petersen, bassist Flemming Preisler, drummer Erik Lindgård and guitarist Per Bernhard Christensen. The same lineup also recorded follow-up single Universal Soldier / I Want Candy. In 1966 Meyer-Petersen was replaced by organist Arne Rasmussen and with this lineup the band released two more singles. Nøhr left in November 1967 to attend his military service and was shortly replaced by Jamaican Del Davies, previously in The Ebonies. The vocal duties were taken over by Hans Larsen in January 1968. The band disbanded in 1969.
