The Ebonies, originally from Jamaica, had a base in Hamburg Germany, where Scottish / Danish producer Jimmy Campbell found them.
He invited the orchestra to Denmark to record for his newly established Ring Records (6).
The group played many concerts in Denmark 66-67 and in "Hit House" a whole 30 times.
After the split up of the group, Leader Del Davis had a partnership with The Caravans for a few months.
By 1968 the group comprised Del Davies vocals, Cecil Reid lead, Lloyd Shaw bass, Stanford Lindsay rhythm, Jeff Miller drums and Percy Davies (ex-Bossmen) organ.
