About

In December 1952, The Debonairs (later known as The Flairs) recorded two original tunes for the John Dolphin's label Recorded In Hollywood: "I Had A Love" (led by Cornell Gunter) and "Tell Me You Love Me" (led by Richard Berry). The recordings were released in January 1953, with the Debonairs magically renamed "The Hollywood Blue Jays." (Dolphin had recycled this name, having released tunes by a group called "The Five Hollywood Blue Jays" some months earlier.)
