Wayne Wilfong

US sound engineer.
One of the founders of Frankford/Wayne Recording Labs in Philadelphia.

After majoring in electronic physics at LaSalle College, he worked in the computer development labs at RCA and Remington Rand's Univac division.
At the same time he was moonlighting remote recording sessions and handling custom record pressing for local groups in Cherry Hill, N.J.
In 1966, he then started his own studio, Frankford/Wayne Recording Labs, together with Tom Steele.

Around 1970, Wilfong sold his interest in the studio to form (together with Tom Steele and Joe Tarsio of Sigma Sound) Qualitape Duplication Labs, a highspeed, custom tape duplicating plant in Runnymede, NJ, specializing in spoken word cassettes.

Wilfong also worked as engineer for Frankford/Wayne Recording Labs since 1975, assisting in the growth, expansion and continuing development of Sigma Sound in Philadelphia and New York.
