Death metal band from Sala, Sweden.
Founded in 1990 under the name Seizure. The first lineup consisted of Richard Lagberg (bass), Roger Enstedt (drums), Tobbe Holmgren (guitar), joined by Thomas Lindfors (vocals) and Håkan Stuvemark (lead guitar). The band name was changed to Wombbath in 1992.
Until 1993, when their first full-length Internal Caustic Torments was released, the band used to play death metal. Afterwards their style shifted to death 'n' roll (as on their Lavatory EP), then the band split up in 1995.
Since 2014 Wombbath is active again playing old-school death metal.
